Dynamic from September, 1968 to June, 1970. Was known aboard ship as Harry, or The Hair, not that I had any (short hair cuts were mandatory then). I was the ship's logroom yeoman and an EN striker, who did his job but who was an aloof kid (and certainly rebelous). I got along well with my other shipmates but I was very young and could have worked harder and gained rank. It was the 60s and a lot of us resented being involved in the Vietnam Conflict...I was no different. My time aboard the Dynamic however changed me for the better and I am very grateful to have served aboard her. Returned to US in second worst typhoon of 20th century, Saw a Russian ship which had sought haven at Midway, which was a very secret place at that time.
