Have you any information on it at all? I am researching the area and the pub in particular for a BBC observational documentary. We then moved and dad put a couple in the shop to manage it for him until the Meadows were flattened.I remember shops in our block, between Essex St and Goodhead St were Frank Simmons (hardware)with his pristine lorry and Vauxall Wyvern, Mrs Willis, Marsdens, a couple of barbers shops and I think a bakers and the National Benzole garage on Kings Meadow Rd where dad would put 4 gallons and 4 shots of Red-Ex in the car for under £1. I remember being sat on my dads shoulders watching Forest parading the FA Cup down Queens Drive on an open top bus in 1959, playing on the 'witches hat' on the rec' on Kirke White St. All the best, John Kirk 10 Thu October 14 2010 - 19:26:50 Fullname: Alan Keetley Email: akeetley@gmail.com Where are your from?: Granada Spain Homepage name: Homepage URL: Where did you hear about this site?: Just Surfed On It!
