It took him a long time to talk about what he found. I shall always remember him telling me about the remains of the children that he found - their bodies burned with acid. My mother was at Liverpool Street Station to help receive the Kindertransport organised by Sir Nicholas Winton and offered comfort until their foster parents collected them. The horrors of the Second World War and of the Holocaust should never be repeated ........... but I fear they are.
