He was a medic with tbe Army he served two terms. When I was growing up my father could not speak of what he saw, in fact he could not watch show about war. He was my living proof that it happened. I cried the whole time. My teacher had asked me what was wrong, and I replied, "Why did these people have to die? They did nothing wrong. They weren't any different then we are now. The only difference was their beliefs." She then told me that back then there were people who didn't like people that believed in Judiasm (I'm not sure that's spelled right) and they didn't like people who were gay or handicapped. I told her that that's what makes people who they are... By being different. Anne Frank was a very talented girl. She shouldn't, nor any of the people in that time period, should have had to go through that. I can't believe the Germans did that. It never seizes to amaze me how many people say that the Holocaust DIDN'T happen! It angers me. There is a lot of evidence that it did happen.
