Comments: Dear Anne. I was an American child living in Germany, only five when you died. When I was 10 and studying at the University of Heidelberg (a gifted child), I became aware of the Halocaust through books and interactions with some of the former internees. At 14, I read The Diary of Anne Frank and recall bursting into tears and weeping almost uncontrollably. It has been 64 years since then and I continue to think of you from time to time, an innocent child being forced to spend her youth in literal captivity, missing out on the hopes and dreams of childhood. Tonight, like many times in the past, I was awakened in the middle of the night with thoughts of you and once again, the tears flowed uncontrolably. You are and will be, forever in the hearts and minds of those whose lives your young but short life has touched. Your life was not in vain, dear Anne. Bless you and may God eternally keep your spirit in His warm embrace.

Comments: The greatest loss suffered by humanity in the death of Anne is, to my knowledge, she might have excelled Franz Kafka in literary achievement and this loss is something invaluable. If she were to live in her adult age, she might have written many valuable fictions and historical novels. The loss is more felt by literature.

Comments: Anne Frank is an inspiration to us all. She was a girl that signified bravery and gave us a point of view from someone around our age. I too wonder what it would be like if she were alive today. But then I wonder, if she was, would her story have touched the millions of people that have read her story? These are questions that will never be answered, but we can thank Miep and Jan Gies for their heroic efforts to protect Anne and her family. Without them, we may not even have a diary to read, to remember, and to love.

Comments: I first read THE DAIRY OF ANNE FRANK when I myself was 14 years old .... and in all these 27 years I must have read it all over again countless number of times... and the latest time now Iam introducing it to my 8 year old son .... This is a book every human being on earth should read ... or be read to ... so that the world remains with out wars...Anne Frank has been a part of my life for the last 27 years ...and i'm sure that there would be scores of people from all over the world to feel the same ... It's so criminal and sad that DESTINY is so unfair to it's own most precious creation ...the world misses having her live post the war , but I suppose her physical absence has been replaced by her so strong and immortal a presence in todays world ...she has touched millions of lives across the globe and will continue to do so for innumerable generations to come and all this thanks to Meip(the most courageous of friends) and Anne's dearest Daddy(Otto Frank)where did he get the strength to be through all this... it must have been destiny's way of presenting a daughter's most beautiful feelings for her father

Comments: Touching story,i think her life after the annexe short and shocking as it was should be broadcasted completely to show the real sufferings and pains inflicted on her race. Although nothing can take from Anne's story i think it important to note that millions upon millions of other jews suffered the same if not worse inflictions.I would advise anyone who read the book and knows who Peter Van Pels/Daan is to read The boy who loved anne frank. x x x

Comments: I have just two minutes ago completed reading " Anne Frank:The Diary of a Young Girl". There is nothing I can say that can match what she wrote, I realised her diary/life is a complete list of the emotions we face as humans, anger, embarrasement, shame, Love, disappoinment, sadness, desolation, confusion and above all and most importantly HOPE, she has given us life lessons that no self help book can give, Anne I belive was inspired by God to write her diary as inspiration to us all, that no matter what never give up and LIVE LIFE to the FULLEST. Thank You for being that person used to share her words with us. Love Carrie.

Comments: I read the Anne Frank diary last year and was deeply moved by the book. I recently found out that my great Grandfather was a Jew during those times. It was most likely he came from overseas. Which makes the whole Holocaust more significant to me. I think everybody should be aware of this war and what happened and also taught to read the Diary. My prayers are with those who suffered and for those who still remember.
