I think, mentally saying I'm done for the rest of my life may be more freeing so that I do not dwell so much on the day to day not smoking. I haven't smoked - or had any overwhelming urges to smoke that following the instructions here couldn't handle. 40 year smoker. Been a non-smoker since Jan. 1st 12AM. It's not just a quit smoking site but more like a how to stay a non-smoker site. It prepared me for 'how' to do a lasting quit and for how to 'stay quit' during the tough, really tough, and not so tough days that have followed. And I'm starting to enjoy being a non-smoker. After 40 years of smoking. And you guys probably know what I'm saying when I mention the, conservatively, dozens of times I have not been successful at quitting.
