I was with the crew that took her to the Persian Gulf. Ensign Swanson was comm officer. Ship was commanded by LtCdr John E Ruzic, a wonderful Captain whom I have great respect for. He has passed on, however I keep in touch with his Son Tom Ruzic via Email. At present time I still comm with Dick Richhart BM2, Corky Proctor,Ron Plumb, Dave Wood,not many of the old crew left. I am living in Mesa, AZ.
