I think it is about time this was rectified and we hear about a very important branch of the Merchant Navy.I worked for Everard from 1945 to 1973 ashore as an apprentice engineer, went to sea in early 1950 until 1952 when I had to leave the sea because of ill health. I sailed on from new Speciality, Similarity, Singularity and also on steamer Grit and Sagacity. I am now 80 so I would not think there many people I sailed still with us as they were mostly a lot older than me. If there are I would certainly like to hear from them.
