Message Text: Hi Every.
Went to the Vindi Oct/Nov 1952
then to sea until 1959 and sailed
mainly out from Swansea on British
Tankers, but did manage a few trips out from Tilbury and Southampton on
the "big boats".Would love to get in contact with anyone who was at the Vindi the same time as me,and I
would very much like a squad photo
if anyone has one.

Message Text: Have been reading guest book messages for about 4 years and can't remember seeing any reference to coastwise shipping or personel. I think it is about time this was rectified and we hear about a very important branch of the Merchant Navy.I worked for Everard from 1945 to 1973 ashore as an apprentice engineer, went to sea in early 1950 until 1952 when I had to leave the sea because of ill health. I sailed on from new Speciality, Similarity, Singularity and also on steamer Grit and Sagacity. I am now 80 so I would not think there many people I sailed still with us as they were mostly a lot older than me. If there are I would certainly like to hear from them. I would like to wish everybody a very happy and healthy New Year Henry Perry No 3138

I grew up aware of his existence, but never knew him since my grandparents divorced when my dad was four. It would be wonderful if there was somebody who would share a memory of him with me.
Merry Christmas to one and all, and thank you.

Message Text: Greetings from Australia,

I have recently co-authored a book with Richard Guilliatt entitled THE WOLF, a history of the German naval raider of the First War, SMS WOLF.

We have strong interest from a documentary maker who has asked me a question that I cannot answer, but hoped one of your members might know. does anyone know whether there is, someone in the world a merchant steam driven ship that could be used as a Wolf substitute for film shooting sequences?

I should be grateful for any assistance. I am happy to send a complimntary copy of our book to your library. It was published inthe UK in June by Transworld.

Our website is raderwolf.com

Best wishes

Peter Hohnen
