Anyone who has knowledge of this ship's history, (other than whats posted on the internet), please contact me.
Its interesting that she was torpedoed by a German Sub in 1917, and that I served on a sub 60 years later.

"They Shall Grow Not Old...." is dedicated to over 500 boys age 16 and under who died in service with the Merchant Navy during WWII including fifteen boys age just 14 years old. The book is chronologically indexed by date of the losses from 1939-1946 on how these boys met their fate, detailing convoy, cargo, destination and cause of loss. Each month also records the official tonnage losses for Allied and neutral Merchant shipping and a monthly break down of the number of casualties throughout the war including DEMS gunners. There are 60 black & white photographs representing various types of ships sunk as well as 22 colour photographs of all the grave stones of those buried ashore throughout the world. A number of photographs of individuals have also been found and are incorporated into the ship photographs they were lost from.

Message Text: John Albert Milton MBE Lloyds Medal (my father-in-law now deceased)was 3rd mate on Teesbank when sunk in 1943. Picked up by East Wales which was also sunk then picked up by Gullmaren and landed in Brazil.
I'm trying to find out:
1. name of ship he returned to UK in - which was also sunk and who picked him up.
2. Other ships he was on after this episode as 1st mate.
Any information appreciated.

Message Text: Hi folks, I am trying to get in touch with an old shipmate who sailed with me on the SS Cotopaxi for PSNC 1960/62.We were junior engineers and I think he was junior 4th. His first name is Henry and I think he lives in Holme Firth or thereabouts. He was writing a book about the time we nearly foundered in the South Atlantic in foul weather. We had lost all electrical power due to shipping tons of green stuff onto the decks which found it's way into the clean diesel tanks for the gennies.Any help would be appreciated.
