I recognized him as soon as he entered the building. I walked up to him while he was in line and asked him quietly, "Will you take a picture with me please?" I could barely move - I was shaking so badly. You could tell he wasn't thrilled to have been noticed, and looked at me kind of blankly (I know he was thinking and trying to express to me, "I'm not who you think I am, even though I am who you think I am - please don't draw attention to me"), but my mother who was visiting from out-of-town broke the nervous silence and said to him, "Please.... You've made her day." He smiled and put his arm around myself and my sister. My sister put her arm around him, but I couldn't move for the fear I would drop my coffee since I shaking so badly. After the picture, I said "thank you" and he said "you're welcome," and that was it. Everyone in the store was beaming, and I think two other girls caught him while he was ordering. We crossed the street and watched him leave - he was parked illegally and got in his BMW and took off- I got a parking ticket, but it was worth it! I wanted to follow him so badly, but also want to respect the privacy celebrities deserve. I was a little disappointed that he didn't seem a bit more gracious, but I can understand his frustration- if one person wants a picture, ten others will as well. The picture looks great, and I'll keep it next to the black and white photos I printed offline and have on my desk at work! It was so cool to have my first celeb encounter ever with Michael, who I've loved even before Alias- since I first saw him in "Never Been Kissed." It was a great experience, and I hope you all have one with him as well.
