Comments: Hello anon. Your last comment here did not address the question you were asked. Saying the government should stay out of some things or is not involved in every detail of such services does not answer the question. Why should Hovind (or anyone else) who uses government funded services (public roads, emergency services, enforcement of copyright, etc) and the rights they have as an American citizen (property and gun ownership, representation in the seats of government, etc) be exempt from taxes?

Also, I don't have a lot of patience for conspiracy theory nonsense like "the government doesnt protect our right to gun ownership it can only threaten it" and people who twist my words to make it sound like I was saying something I wasn't.

You came in here saying Hovind should be exempt from paying his taxes but have failed to explain why. Either answer the question or move along somewhere else.

Public schools are only obligated to teach facts and ideas that have stood up to scrutiny, and fact is not based on public opinion.

Comments: I understand it is a hard concept to grasp, granting freedom even to those you do not agree with, but our educational system is broken. Let us choose where our tax dollars go by not forcing us to pay taxes on services we neither want nor need. Is this so hard to follow? I am sorry you are tired of facing the real issues, and that you spend more time defacing someone completely irrelevant to the issue, but it is time for a real change.

E.Government does not represent its people we represent ourselves through decisions we make on everyday occasions.

I am not playing a game I am trying to inform you on the dangers of a single position of your argument.

Hovind does not want taxpayer dollars used for education of evolution. what if it was proposed an opt out plan in which if you do not wish to you do not have to pay taxes on education but you send your kids elsewhere for school?

A. roads should not be built by our federal government. the reason they are poorly maintained is a direct result of federal control.
B. the amount of money that goes into the roads is miniscule compared to the amount of money our department of education wastes.
C. emergency services are provided by local governments and made up of mostly volunteer services (firemen emts etc.)
D. the government doesnt protect our right to gun ownership it can only threaten it.

Ask away. Then go away. You're just playing a game. If you really wanted an answer about Hovind supporters and violence, you wouldn't be here--you'd be investigating the subject yourself.

I never said any such thing. Stop putting words into my mouth.

"With this said let me ask another question."

No. You don't get to move on to another topic when you have failed to explain why Hovind (or anyone else) who uses government services (public roads, emergency services, enforcement of copyright, etc) and the rights they have as an American citizen (property and gun ownership, representation in the seats of government, etc) should be exempt from taxes. Until you do, this will be my last response to you.

Your questions on the morality and legality of Hovind being imprisoned have been addressed and I agree with Jim Smith that it is time for you to take your agenda elsewhere.

Comments: excuse me i lost my cool im back now. let me clear the air of some accusations or misunderstandings before i continue. 1. I dont like hovind I think he is an asshole, but doesnt mean we compromise morality, he has rights as do all of us. and 2. I do not believe in conspiracies, just poor management of justice, education, and human rights. With this said let me ask another question. Has there ever been a hovind supporter commit any recorded act of violence against another person? Again i dont agree with them

Comments: good thing that there is no way a public school could teach facts that arent backed up by the scientific community and they are in no way subject to political clout and public opinion. I almost fell for the fact that education in America is in the bottom three of all developed nations and spends more many than most of those nations combined per student. Could it be our educational system is broken because of political connections and too much public opinion? but that is impossible according to trebob here
