I received your message on a totally miserable old day (dealing with renovations and a thousand other dramas when I wanted to be writing) And so perfect timing! Don't you just love the synchronicity when books come to you at the perfect time? You can almost feel them pleading to be purchased. I'm so thrilled you enjoyed the series. I have been working diligently away on a couple of projects since that series (The Witches of Paris and Poets Cottage) I'm plodding my way through Poets Cottage at the moment. I also have plans to return to more fantastical writing in the future as I do miss that style of storytelling. As for Japan, I think that was a reader who was going there. I would love to travel but I'm hankering for Paris, Ireland and Cornwall at the moment. I have fairly regular updates on my website or you can also catch me on Facebook or MySpace if you are a member of either of them. I came accross the first one at Central train station in Brisbane. I devoured the book in days and loe and behold the next time I went to the same newsagent the second book in the series was sitting on top of a pile of paperbacks. I was very pleased, but then astonished to find the same thing happened a few days later for fire in the shell. I guess I was meant to read them!!! This was over year ago and I have just started re-reading the series again. Second time round I think I am picking up on alot more in your story, but it amazes me that the content is still so fresh in my mind. I cant wait to read more of your writing. I noticed a message saying you are going to Japan. I was there a couple of months ago on my way back from Canada and absolutely loved it. The people are lovely and warm. I am the same on whaling but at the same time they have been practising hunting these beautiful creatures since the 13th century so change wont happen overnight.. It is the youth of Japan (which in my opinion are quite forward thinking) which will stop this practise, lets hope it is before a species dies out. Boycotting a country for the practise of a minority is not just so I am glad you went. Kind Regards, Helen 3 Fri November 16 2007 - 17:47:13 Your Name: Josephine Email: josephine.pennicott@bigpond.com Your Message: Merry Meet, Mike Thanks for your thanks. The Witches of Paris is now in its final stages of being read before being given over to publishers. As soon as I hear anything, I'll post. I'm currently working on Book 5, so I'm still very busy. It may seem as if there's been a break between books but I actually am working harder than ever. As usual, the letters I get from people like yourself make the process a joy. It really touches me that I still get mail from people enjoying the series. I am sure if you enjoyed the first series so much, you will fall in love with WOP. Again, thank you for your lovely words, I really treasure them. We writers need to hear such things constantly for our fragile old egos. I'm glad to hear the book reached you safely. 4 Mon November 12 2007 - 20:00:45 Your Name: Mike Email: mike@kamk.net Your Message: Merry Meet, I dont think I ever got around to thanking you for the copy of Fire in the shell you sent me it still remains my favorite and most prized book in my collection. Just wondering if there is a release date for The Witches of Paris. I await with a passion for reading but for now its back to Circle of Nine again. Merry part 5 Tue June 12 2007 - 18:32:27 Your Name: Josephine Email: josephine.pennicott@bigpond.com Your Message: Hi Lyndy, I hope this catches you before you fly to Japan. I can't wait to hear about your trip. There's some really great writing in crime coming out of Japan. It will be interesting to hear what the Japanese say about the whaling issue. It should be an exotic trip. Yes, time has flown so fast. I can't believe my adorable wee bambino is now the cheeky, wise-cracking bambino she has turned out to be. She rules the roost that's for sure! She is mad about Mother Mary and the Black Madonna at the moment. She'll talk to them constantly. Loves Mother Mary's boobies, I have to add! Safe Journey. Let me know how it goes. I'm doing all my travelling in my imagination at the moment. Merry Meet Renaid, Thank you for your kind words. It's always lovely to get good feedback. Every writer I know would love a film of their books. I think the Circle of Nine trilogy might be just a bit too out there for a film company. However, the Witches of Paris might well make it. Who knows? Perchance to dream... I do keep saying this. If you enjoyed CO9, you will love 'The Witches of Paris' I feel I really did improve with each book. Thank you for dropping by. I'm so sorry I was tardy with my reply but I've been wrapping up my book and then I've been very busy fighting the villains of the world. Hello Heather. Thank you for posting. I did send you a personal email but never heard back. If however, you happen to come back to my message board; drop me a line. I'm so sorry to hear about your problems in getting A Fire in the Shell but you must read AFITS. It's the best one of the series in my unbiased opinion. Hope to hear from you and I can help you with your book finding problem if you haven't already resolved it. I think copies of book 3 are still floating around on EBay as well. Love to All. I'll add you to my mailing list as I'm planning on doing a bit more with that in the future. xxx 6 Wed May 30 2007 - 19:28:54 Your Name: Lyndy Email: Superspanger@hotmail.com Your Message: Hi Josephine, Gosh, its been almost a year since I dropped in and said "hello". I do stop by and read the news more often. I'm SO SO glad to hear that TWOP is finished and almost on its way. Phillip and I are off to Japan in just on a months time, it will be the first trip overseas for both of us! I must admit that I am having conflicting feelings about the whole whaling issue but I feel that if I stayed away from all places I had environmental / social issues with I would never leave home. I cant believe that so much time has passed... Daisy is just a few months older than my neice and the thing I dont like about kids is that before I had small people in my life I could forget how much time had moved... I could think "oh 2 or 3 years" now there are little people who are the ultimate time keeper. I suppose its not such a bad price to pay, the positives certainly out weight the negatives on this one. My fat, well not so chubby baby has gone from this big fatty bomba to a pretty sassy little lady who is too clever for her own good. Take care...BB Lyndy 7 Tue May 08 2007 - 14:53:03 Your Name: Renaid Email: renaidc@optusnet.com.au Your Message: Merry Meet Josephine I thought I'd drop you a quick line to thank-you for your books. They are wonderfull. Are there any plans on the board to make "The Circle of Nine" trilogy into a film? Many blessings to you and your family, and it is my hope to meet you one day. You must be a very interesting person. Even though you can still buy book 1 and 2 you are unable to buy book 3. I have searched the web, I have plagued second hand book stores for the book but with no sucess. I'm hoping that you might know of where your book is still being sold as I got my daughter also looking for it as she also brought book 1 and 2 after I told her about the books. thank you again for the great books it's good to see an Aussie doing so well in this field. 9 Mon December 25 2006 - 00:05:37 Your Name: Josephine Email: josephine.pennicott@bigpond.com Your Message: Hello Matilda, Merry Christmas to you too! Thanks for visiting me and for the good wishes for my father. Are you still nursing? Hats off to you if you are - what a slog SJP was!!! I've never worked so hard in my life! Gabrielle has mentioned you to me but its lovely to hear from you. Thanks also for the good wishes about Daisy. She's the love of my life. I'd be lost without that bundle of cheek. Have discovered your books (Gabby told me you had written a book years ago!!!). Have just started to read the first in the trilogy and I thought I'd write to congratulate you on your success - always knew you'd do it!!! Congrats also on the arrival of Daisy. Sorry to hear of your Dad's illness - I send love and light. Can't wait to have the next 'Josie' book in my library - Until next time - May the Goddess give you strength and enfold you in her light...BB Deb )O( 13 Fri July 21 2006 - 23:41:17 Your Name: Josephine Email: josephine.pennicott@bigpond.com Your Message: Hi Lyndy How are you missy? Thank you for thinking of my dad. He's okay. A bit thin and needing to build up his immune system again after his radiotherapy treatment. I've been doing a lot of healing work for him. He is taking it one day at a time. As he says, every day is a gift. Thanks for caring. Kate is the champagne Queen. I normally go home early... I'm the boring one. I'm now up to editing chapter sixteen of a thirty-two chapter book. Fingers crossed it won't be too long before 'The Witches of Paris' can be added to your collection. Hope all's well with your world. Isn't this rainy, chilly weather the best? I've been reading loads. Lots of Dickens and old ghost stories at the moment. Comfort food for the soul. BB Jo x 14 Wed July 19 2006 - 01:37:16 Your Name: Lyndy Email: Superspanger@hotmail.com Your Message: Josephine! After reading both of your last news messages in one hit I could wonder if you and Kate Forsyth do anything other than drink when in each others company. Its a good thing that there is physical proof to the contrary in the form of 10+ books sitting in my room that have either your name or Kates on the spine. I'm very glad to hear that TWOP is getting closer and closer to being on the shelf with the previously mentioned 'evidence'. I hope you are all well, as strange as it might sound your father is in my thoughts. It's why I came by, I thought of him for no reason last night as I was doing the washing up. I sincerly hope it meant no ill was in the air. Take care, Lyndy 15 Thu May 25 2006 - 14:58:24 Your Name: Josephine Pennicott Email: josephine.pennicott@bigpond.com Your Message: Merry Meet Tracy, Thank you ever so for your lovely words. I cannot think of a better space for any writer to put their reader into than the sacred space of beyond words! There's no greater compliment you could pay my book. If you enjoyed 'Circle of Nine' you'll love the other two in the series; I feel with each book I've improved as a writer. Thanks for visiting me. May she hold you tightly and shower upon you infinite joy, passion, dreaming and creativity. Bright Blessings Josephine x
