I grew up (born 1970) in that area (and Kensington Mkt as well) and was acquainted with several people in the pictures. Seeing those who were so much a part of my new Canadian home brought tears to my eyes, and a smile to my face. I laughed out loud at myself as I exclaimed over and over, "I remember...." Some of my most foundational life experiences were captured in your photographs, thank you so much. A correction if I may; Catherine is spelled, Kathryn, and Christine is actually Christienne. These photos are in the section with the moms and children. I still treasure a photograph you gave us of one of Christienne's birthday parties, in the old house in the alleyway. You must have stood on a chair, as the shot is looking down at Christienne, and Morgan, sitting on the floor, surrounded by balloons. Lovely. Thanks for documenting the old neighbourhood.
