I grew up here and this is the first time I've seen a peacock in this area (I'm 53). He causes me to catch my breath, and I see him as a sign saying, "Here, Teri! This is God. Have a great day!" And both times it's just in the nick of time! Much has been on my plate of late, and I appreciate this peacock and his inspiring beauty. I've named him accordingly! They were very independant and graceful. I have just started raising Peacocks and after reading about your Peacocks they reminded me of the ducks. I realize that ducks can not be compared to Peacocks but the way you described your birds reminds me of them. The God of love in the Indian culture is Krishna and he is depicted in all pictures as having a bluish tint to his body since he was so dark black that his skin shone blue. His wife, Sita, is brown in colour like most indians. She was kidnapped by the evil God Ravana and Krishna risked his life to save her by figting the deamon's messengers and eventually Ravana himself.
