As an ex wife of a firefighter, and my getting to participate with Crusade wk, I realize what it takes to bring Crusade wk together, and it isnt the taxpayers. I have missed getting to do Crusade, but get to experience it with Jac, Matt ( and Scott). Jac and Matt start counting down in Jan (every yr) for Crusade wkend. My Thanks to the firefighters, families and friends for your selfless effort to collect for Crusade-this great weekend there could be many other things to have fun doing and you choose to collect. Although I dont live in the OFD district anymore, thanks to the firefighters for the countless hrs that they take away from their families thru the yr to make runs for the possible taxpayer wondering if they paid for your drink during Crusade wkend. I didnt mean to be so wordy, but that question just went thru me, because obviously that taxpayer doesnt understand what the Crusade is all about and firefighting is all about. As Matt puts it, "they risk their's, to protect yours"!
