Comments: Hey Yvonne. Sorry to bother you again. Today's my birthday and it kinda sucks. So for some reason my senses bring me hear to talk to you. I tried to write to make myself feel better, but the whole thing isn't working and I have a big writer's block. What do you do when this happens to you?

Hi again, Randy. Congrats on finding your copy of FINAL IMPACT. If anyone else is interested, as of right now there's a copy up on eBay, from an Australian seller (so there will be shipping costs involved here, but surface mail isn't too expensive). The bidding right now is only about $8.75 US -- a great deal.

Lindsey, thanks for the great comment about TEMPTED CHAMPIONS. I don't have anything Buffy in the works right now-- the upcoming wedding and the house sale/move to Arizona, plus some bookstore-related things, are really taking up most of my time. There's precious little (i.e., almost none) available for writing, I'm afraid. But I hope to get back to the writing soon-- it's something so ingrained in me that I get extremely crabby if I don't get to do it.

I've updated my website, mostly with a few little info tidbits. Go here and click on the "What's New" button to catch up. A couple of really fun things you'll find on the What's New page include the full article that was run in the local Daily Herald here, where the reporter talks not only about the 2002 World Horror Convention, but our upcoming wedding. Then there's the Great Von-Whappity-Smackities-on-Weston-Photograph. What the poor guy doesn't know is that this is indicative of the years to come after the wedding. ::evil grin::

Comments: Yvonne,
I found a used copy a few days ago. It looks like new though so I am pleased. I hope to start reading it pretty soon. I have to finish Dan Simmons SUMMER OF NIGHT before I start another book. I have a bad habit of jumping around and not finishing anything fr trying to read too many books at once.
It looks like a great book. I am going to read FINAL IMPACE & RED SHADOWS back to back before I meet you in August.
Now all I need to find is a copy of AFTERAGE.

Randy

Comments: Hey, Randy. Thanks for the nice comments -- I'm so glad you liked Tempted Champions. Alas, Final Impact is extremely difficult to find. I have only 6 or 7 new copies left, and once that number drops to, say, 4, I'll stop selling them and pack them away for good. I'm already getting reluctant to let them go!

There's a mini-update on my web page, if folks want to check it out. The What's New page there will have the new info.

Comments: I finished reading TEMPTED CHAMPIONS shortly after I posted last time.GREAT BUFFY BOOK! Very well written. Made me start to like Anya a litle more than I use to.

Now I am trying to find an affordable copy of FINAL IMPACT because I want to read that before reading RED SHADOWS. Every copy I find online is upwards of $25. Anybody have an extra copy they can sell me that I can actually afford? I REALLY want to read this title because I like this type of book. Disaster novels are interesting.
Thanks to all for reading and many thanks to the one who has an extra copy to sell.

Randy W.

I finished TEMPTING CHAMPIONS a few hoyrs after I posted here last. I REALLY liked the book. I could tell you were holding back and the spookies a bit after reading some of your other work. I doubt the average Buffy reader could take what you can throw out. :)
I will be at Horrorfind in August. Thanks for your wishes. I have all of my reservations and tickets paid for and I am SO ready!
I look forward to meeting you. Take care and GOOD WORK!

Okay, everyone. I accidentally ran across an old message from this board and thought

it would be fun to re-post it here. As most everyone knows. Weston and I are getting

married on June 29th, 2002. Well, who woulda thunk it way back then, when this appeared

right here on Message Board:

Comments: Hi Nell -- thanks for your nice words. It was fun meeting you, too. I had a great time at WHC, and once Weston got over his bumps and bruises, he was just fine. :)

Randy -- glad you were liking what you'd read so far of TEMPTED CHAMPIONS, and I hope you felt the same way once you reached the book's end. My fingers are crossed that you'll be feeling better this summer and maybe make it to Horrorfind.

Things are really heating up around here with the townhouse just about ready to go up for sale, moving estimtes, wedding plans, cakes woes-is-me surprises, and generally not enough minutes in an hour, much less hours in a day. Stay tuned!

Comments: Yvonne,
I am reading your new Buffy book, TEMPTED CHAMPIONS and I love it! It is a great book. I read the first 80 pages i just under 2 hours and am going to read the next 80 tonight before I go to bed.
I hope that I will be able to come for Horrorfind weekend to meet you this summer. My health is causing me problems so I haven't een able to make the plans yet to go.
Just wanted to say how great TEMPTED CHAMPIONS is. I hope you write more Buffy books. You have done one thing that I thought was impossible. You actually got me liking Anya.

CORRECTION...

Okay, I apologize -- I posted that so quickly that I accident put in the incorrect url. The one below takes you to the list of books under my name (note the obvious lack of any mention of THE WILLOW FILES VOL. 2). Here is the CORRECT URL to go to the book version page for THE WILLOW FILES VOL. 2:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743400437/qid%3D979236300/sr%3D2-1/ref%3Dsc%5Fb%5F1/102-3314435-6436103

Or just click HERE.

Thanks for your patience, everyone.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your good words about The Willow Files, Vol. 2. I know people have been going to Amazon.com and NOT being able to find it. This is because Amazon.com has BLOCKED the page for the printed book version from their search engine and from my name. Now only the Adobe PDF downloable version comes up. My best guess is that they've done this simply because they needn't warehouse and ship any of the printed book versions if they're selling only the PDF version -- it's all pure profit for them this way. Of course, I get absolutely ZERO royalties on the PDF sales. In the meantime, sales of the book version have dropped like a rock because, obviously, no one can FIND it on the Amazon.com site. The only way, the absolutely ONLY way, you can do so is if you know the ISBN number and put it into their Advanced Search Engine.

Well, I know where it is. And now so does anyone who visits this message board:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author=Navarro%2C%20Yvonne/102-3314435-6436103 -- That's the full url. To take the easy way, just click
here.

At the risk of sounding like I have a personal vendetta against Amazon.com, this is just one more way they're using corporate greed to strangle people who are struggling to make a decent living. I really don't have a vendetta against them, but I sure am getting tired of being ground under their business practices bootheel.

Aw, I didn't hurt poor little Wes. He's one of them tough old military types. He can take it.
