Seriously, I'm sorry your birthday isn't that great, but that's only so far -- it's still early! The day still has possibilities, so relax and let it happen. The same thing with your writing-- Just sit back and noodle around with an idea, or a snippet of an idea, or even a name or phrase that you think is fun. Dean Koontz once wrote an entire story based on a story title (I think it might have been "White Tiger," but I'm not sure) that he came up with. He had no idea to go with it; he just knew he liked the phrase "White Tiger" (or whatever it was). Remember that you don't have to finish a story if it's not working out -- sometimes you need a little bit of "fluff" just to let your mind play a bit. Good luck, and I hope you have a better rest of your birthday! 323 Tue May 28 2002 - 00:51:25 Fullname: Lindsey Email: powerpuf77@yahoo.com Comments: Hey Yvonne. Sorry to bother you again. Today's my birthday and it kinda sucks. So for some reason my senses bring me hear to talk to you. I tried to write to make myself feel better, but the whole thing isn't working and I have a big writer's block. What do you do when this happens to you? 324 Sun May 26 2002 - 13:24:12 Fullname: Yvonne Navarro Email: Comments:
325 Fri May 24 2002 - 19:49:16 Fullname: Lindsey Britner Email: powerpuf77@yahoo.com Comments: Yvonne, I just got finished reading Tempted Champions. That was such a good book. I think I am going to read it again. So do you have any upcoming BtVS books coming out soon? 326 Fri May 24 2002 - 12:43:51 Fullname: Randy Wiggins Email: rwig@knology.net Comments: Yvonne, I found a used copy a few days ago. It looks like new though so I am pleased. I hope to start reading it pretty soon. I have to finish Dan Simmons SUMMER OF NIGHT before I start another book. I have a bad habit of jumping around and not finishing anything fr trying to read too many books at once. It looks like a great book. I am going to read FINAL IMPACE & RED SHADOWS back to back before I meet you in August. Now all I need to find is a copy of AFTERAGE. Randy 327 Thu May 23 2002 - 13:03:38 Fullname: Yvonne Navarro Email: Comments: Hey, Randy. Thanks for the nice comments -- I'm so glad you liked Tempted Champions. Alas, Final Impact is extremely difficult to find. I have only 6 or 7 new copies left, and once that number drops to, say, 4, I'll stop selling them and pack them away for good. I'm already getting reluctant to let them go!
328 Mon May 13 2002 - 16:05:52 Fullname: Randy W. Email: RWIG@KNOLOGY.NET Comments: I finished reading TEMPTED CHAMPIONS shortly after I posted last time.GREAT BUFFY BOOK! Very well written. Made me start to like Anya a litle more than I use to. Now I am trying to find an affordable copy of FINAL IMPACT because I want to read that before reading RED SHADOWS. Every copy I find online is upwards of $25. Anybody have an extra copy they can sell me that I can actually afford? I REALLY want to read this title because I like this type of book. Disaster novels are interesting. Thanks to all for reading and many thanks to the one who has an extra copy to sell. Randy W. 329 Fri May 10 2002 - 01:10:24 Fullname: Randy W. Email: rwig@knology.net Comments: Yvonne, I finished TEMPTING CHAMPIONS a few hoyrs after I posted here last. I REALLY liked the book. I could tell you were holding back and the spookies a bit after reading some of your other work. I doubt the average Buffy reader could take what you can throw out. :) I will be at Horrorfind in August. Thanks for your wishes. I have all of my reservations and tickets paid for and I am SO ready! I look forward to meeting you. Take care and GOOD WORK!
