When it rains, it pours. I now have 2 copies of FINAL IMPACT because I forgot I had put a pre-order on it with Half.com and the order got filled the day after I recieved the other copy I got in.
So, anyone needing a copy of FINAL IMPACT I'll sell my extra copy for the same price I paid plus postage. My cost was $16.00.

Lindsey --

                   Happy Birthday!

Seriously, I'm sorry your birthday isn't that great, but that's only so far -- it's still early!

The day still has possibilities, so relax and let it happen. The same thing with your writing--

Just sit back and noodle around with an idea, or a snippet of an idea, or even a name or

phrase that you think is fun. Dean Koontz once wrote an entire story based on a story

title (I think it might have been "White Tiger," but I'm not sure) that he came up with.

He had no idea to go with it; he just knew he liked the phrase "White Tiger" (or whatever

it was). Remember that you don't have to finish a story if it's not working out --

sometimes you need a little bit of "fluff" just to let your mind play a bit.

Good luck, and I hope you have a better rest of your birthday!

Comments: Hey Yvonne. Sorry to bother you again. Today's my birthday and it kinda sucks. So for some reason my senses bring me hear to talk to you. I tried to write to make myself feel better, but the whole thing isn't working and I have a big writer's block. What do you do when this happens to you?

Hi again, Randy. Congrats on finding your copy of FINAL IMPACT. If anyone else is interested, as of right now there's a copy up on eBay, from an Australian seller (so there will be shipping costs involved here, but surface mail isn't too expensive). The bidding right now is only about $8.75 US -- a great deal.

Lindsey, thanks for the great comment about TEMPTED CHAMPIONS. I don't have anything Buffy in the works right now-- the upcoming wedding and the house sale/move to Arizona, plus some bookstore-related things, are really taking up most of my time. There's precious little (i.e., almost none) available for writing, I'm afraid. But I hope to get back to the writing soon-- it's something so ingrained in me that I get extremely crabby if I don't get to do it.

I've updated my website, mostly with a few little info tidbits. Go here and click on the "What's New" button to catch up. A couple of really fun things you'll find on the What's New page include the full article that was run in the local Daily Herald here, where the reporter talks not only about the 2002 World Horror Convention, but our upcoming wedding. Then there's the Great Von-Whappity-Smackities-on-Weston-Photograph. What the poor guy doesn't know is that this is indicative of the years to come after the wedding. ::evil grin::

Comments: Yvonne, I just got finished reading Tempted Champions. That was such a good book. I think I am going to read it again. So do you have any upcoming BtVS books coming out soon?

Comments: Yvonne,
I found a used copy a few days ago. It looks like new though so I am pleased. I hope to start reading it pretty soon. I have to finish Dan Simmons SUMMER OF NIGHT before I start another book. I have a bad habit of jumping around and not finishing anything fr trying to read too many books at once.
It looks like a great book. I am going to read FINAL IMPACE & RED SHADOWS back to back before I meet you in August.
Now all I need to find is a copy of AFTERAGE.

Randy

Comments: Hey, Randy. Thanks for the nice comments -- I'm so glad you liked Tempted Champions. Alas, Final Impact is extremely difficult to find. I have only 6 or 7 new copies left, and once that number drops to, say, 4, I'll stop selling them and pack them away for good. I'm already getting reluctant to let them go!

There's a mini-update on my web page, if folks want to check it out. The What's New page there will have the new info.

Viva la Spring!!!

Comments: I finished reading TEMPTED CHAMPIONS shortly after I posted last time.GREAT BUFFY BOOK! Very well written. Made me start to like Anya a litle more than I use to.

Now I am trying to find an affordable copy of FINAL IMPACT because I want to read that before reading RED SHADOWS. Every copy I find online is upwards of $25. Anybody have an extra copy they can sell me that I can actually afford? I REALLY want to read this title because I like this type of book. Disaster novels are interesting.
Thanks to all for reading and many thanks to the one who has an extra copy to sell.

Randy W.

I finished TEMPTING CHAMPIONS a few hoyrs after I posted here last. I REALLY liked the book. I could tell you were holding back and the spookies a bit after reading some of your other work. I doubt the average Buffy reader could take what you can throw out. :)
I will be at Horrorfind in August. Thanks for your wishes. I have all of my reservations and tickets paid for and I am SO ready!
I look forward to meeting you. Take care and GOOD WORK!

Randy
