Looking forward to reading it. 2 Thu December 09 2004 - 18:42:45 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: I sold "The Harlequin" to SURREAL MAGAZINE; I'll post later when I know in which issue my story will appear. Hopefully I'll have information soon about the specific publication date of my second novel, SECRETS OF THE BONES. Sometime after the New Year...! The fabulous Charlee Jacob wrote a special introduction, and here's what Gary Braunbeck said about my book: In SECRETS OF THE BONES, Teri Jacobs has stepped to the forefront of the next generation of dark fantasists and declared herself the Mistress of the New Mythology, and I doubt anyone will argue it; this novel is breathtaking in its scope, affecting in its honest emotions, and feverishly hynoptic in its imagery. Jacobs may very well become dark fantasy's female equivalent of Clive Barker, and deservedly so." 3 Tue December 07 2004 - 06:13:37 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: Good to read from ya. Be looking forward to those books you're working on. As for the music, I'll have to look for those. If not, I'll probably go directly to the source. 4 Thu December 02 2004 - 13:45:48 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: I'm writing two novels: THE THIRTEENTH FAERY and DRAWING DOWN THE MOON. Recently just got another idea for a novel, SciFi drama I'll call ETERNITY. I've more ideas than I think I'll ever write! After these two, I've at least 6, including a sequel to THE VOID. The Muse loves to tease me. Anyway, I finished a fantasy novel by Cherryh and will start Susanna Clarke's JONATHAN STRANGE & MR. NORREL. AND--I've got new music!! New releases by Angels & Agony, Hocico (kicks ass!), Fleshfield, Rotersand, Diary of Dreams, Icon of Coil remixes and the same VAC you'd gotten. 5 Tue November 16 2004 - 07:15:16 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: I just gotten three more: Cruxshadows remixes; Suicide Commando; & Velvet Acid Christ (Between the Eyes pt. III). They've got cool tracks. So, Teri, what you've been writing so far or reading for that matter. 6 Fri November 05 2004 - 06:21:25 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: Correction: Industrial music THAT has a serious attitude problem. ;) 7 Thu November 04 2004 - 06:53:47 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: Just bought myself a double CD set of DJ compilations called GOTHIKA. That has nothing to do with the movie. It's a cool combination of gothic & industrial. Plus I got another EP from Razed In Black, Oh My Goth! Stupid title for a song if you ask me. :/ But cool tracks though. Another EP is from the group BILE. Ever heard of them? Theirs is an industrial music has a serious attitude problem. The kind that stomp your bones to powder. It is also dark. 8 Fri October 08 2004 - 12:57:29 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: The Harrow announces the release of THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN anthology. All proceeds go to Bone Cancer International, Inc. and/or to the American Cancer Society. Please support this charity. You'll find stories by Poppy Z. Brite, Jack Ketchum, Owl Goingback, and others, including my story, "Infections of its Taboo." Chelsea Quinn Yarbo wrote the introduction. 9 Fri October 08 2004 - 12:03:56 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: I'll have to check them out! 10 Wed October 06 2004 - 03:33:22 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: Not really. They're more like techno/industrial. 11 Tue October 05 2004 - 15:14:54 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: No, I've never heard of the band. Alt metal? 12 Mon October 04 2004 - 04:47:49 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: Just bought another two CDs: Haujobb's Vertical Theory & a Soundtrack of Mothman Prophecies. Ever heard of Tomandandy? Two other bands played some on the sountrack CD, Low & King Black Acid. So, there's a cool dark song "Half Light". That's why I bought that one cuz of that track song at the end credit of the film called "Mothman Prophecies". 13 Sun October 03 2004 - 06:23:05 Fullname: Darkomik77 Email: Comments: Just got a recent Prodigy that just came out weeks ago, Always Outnumbered; Never Outgunned. Right now, I'm listening to Spitfire, their song. It's a blast. I'll be checking for those you mentioned. Das Ich was okay. 14 Fri September 17 2004 - 20:49:40 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: Dark, you'd probably like Battery Cage, Grendel, Amduscia, Nin Kuji, Rotersand, Das Ich...obviously I got some new CDs. heh There's a really cool compilation called Dark Awakenings Vol 4. I suggest you check it out--every song kicks ass! Very good industrial stuff. And I'm looking into a new Mexican industrial band called Klaustrophobik. I picked up two Charles de Lint books and want Susanna Clarke's first novel, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel which has hit the bestseller list. At the moment, I'm reading a really horrible Christian horror novel by Frank Peretti (a neighbor lent it). I've also started China Mieville's Cold Iron (or whatever the title is). 15 Fri September 17 2004 - 20:49:29 Fullname: Teri Email: Comments: Dark, you'd probably like Battery Cage, Grendel, Amduscia, Nin Kuji, Rotersand, Das Ich...obviously I got some new CDs. heh There's a really cool compilation called Dark Awakenings Vol 4.
