Comments: Okay, here's where I've been lately: Once I finished SORORITY, I collapsed for a week then Damien and I traveled to the southwest to stay in haunted hotels and do research for the book that I'm starting now. I've also been up to my neckline in publicity things and just plain catching up on a zillion things left dangling while I was deadlining. I'm working on new things for the website (new pages coming up, including one about real hauntings, which you'll be invited to add to, if you've been spooked.) I've been prepping some synopsi for some produceri who are asking about Sororiti. And I've been up to some smaller writing projects. I've also had my leg cut open and a demon removed, so now I have a lovely horror cheesecake picture of the scar (we named it Frankenscar) complete with black outer thread, laid against my favorite Krameresque-Hawaiian shirt (blue with pineapples.) Maybe I could auction that off to buy some sunless tanning lotion so I can be tan in real life too. (I've also spent some time learning how to turn my red-headed vampire-white skin into something nicer in Paint Shop Pro. Now I want it in real life.

So, I haven't been wasting my time, but I've missed you guys. Anyway, I'll have announcements about interviews and chats soon -- on line and on radio. And more signings to announce. I may venture up the California coast into Caledonia/Candle Bay/Greenbriar land to sign. I may even make it to San Francisco. The chats and interviews could be at anytime, but the traveling will be in or after August, once all the books are out and about. (As August approaches, be on the look-out for Tamara Thorne/Sorority book displays in stores. I'm so jazzed I could just spit!!)

Comments: Karen, My what good tasting men you have. I mean good taste in men. (You'll get a whole lecture on good tasting men in one of the SORORITY books...). I've always thought an Adrian Paul/Julian Sandswich would be quite a treat.

Comments: Nicole, Thanks for posting! Also about to appear is DEVIL'S WINE from Cemetery Dance. It's a big poetry antho in which I get to rub my wee shoulders with the likes of King, Straub, and Bradbury. I haven't read the other writers' works yet, but judging by the quote on www.cemeterydance.com, my stuff is, uh, a little lighter weight than most of the entries? I tried to be serious, I really did. Sometimes. (When I'm trying to be serious, I usually start giggling though.) We'll have a link up on my site soon, but check out the cd site and you'll see that some of my poems have slightly peculiar titles for serious poetry. My favorite is probably Hot Burger Love.

Comments: Kevin, Wicked, I'm just catching up on all the posts I missed and got a huge kick out of your "Riddle Me This" comment about Eve being SUMMER's EVE. We (my editor and I) had played around with trio titles, names, seasons, holidays, colors, etc. Well, I suggested Mid-Summer's Eve, All Hallow's Eve and New Year's Eve at an early point in the planning. Then I added that we could call the first one "Summer's Eve" but that would be a douche. All this was forgotten and the books got the heroine's names. But Eve -- I was torn. Originally, she was to be Gwen, but that made a bad title. Her name is supposed to be a play on Guinevere. I decided to make her Genieve (which I still can't spell) and that looked hard to pronounce. I'd already nicknamed her Eve at that point. So I told my editor to choose. He chose EVE. And there you have it. BTW, without giving anything away, EVE does not have a downer ending. It's only 1/3rd of the book!
