Comments: I saw SAW III tonight. It wasn't bad, but the torture scenes are getting harder to watch. Not much of a plot, as with the first two, but the storyline is wearing thin with me. Still, it's way better than that awful HOSTEL, the other bigtime torture flick.

Nanci where are you cruising to? I have been on many but the North Atlantic in the summer was bad. I can't even think of what it would be like in the winter. Of course I was not there for pleasure we were tracking some subs. That brings back some memories that need to stay in the memory banks.

Comments: Talking about insanity. Just last night, I watched a really demented French film called "Cervaire" which means "Ordeal". It's been compared to Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Deliverance. The only difference is it's without the chainsaw. The dreary atmosphere of the film is so darkly surrealistic it's like walking thru a nightmare. The story opens with a male torch singer making his living performing and singing at places like restaurants, rest homes, and such. One night, it was raining heavily. He seemed to have taken a wrong turn. You know what happens when you take wrong turns. ;) Anyway, his van stalled on a wet blood red road. Really. It's blood red. That should give our protagonist a first clue. The second one is when some shape or shadow flitted in front of him so fast, he nearly had a heart attack. As he checked his map, someone tapped on the side window. He turns and sees a weird pale face staring back at him. It turns out that guy was just looking for his missing dog. The singer asked if this guy direct him to an inn since the singer saw a grimy sign post saying there's an inn nearby. The singer should've realize that innkeeper was far more stranger than the man looking for his dog. The innkeeper told him not to go into the village. He went there anyway and found 'em far more perverted than he imagined. Naturally, he wanted to get the fuck outta there and fast. However, the innkeeper had other ideas. What happens? That's for you to find out. I'm tellin' you, this is one hell of a demented & nightmarish film in French. Definitely recommended. Check this one out. I just saw that last night on Sundance channel in cable. That is if you can get cable. If not, you could always try Netflix. ;)
