Comments: Hi Dark - Glad to see you're still enjoying it. Yeah, that one's a wee bit rough. It's weird to think it's almost five years old already since I started it. I think another reason it might be rough is that I was still "discovering" Lawson. The other books read better because I knew how he'd react to situations and was hopefully improving as a writer myself. But I'm glad you're still digging it. Thanks for reading! best, Jon

Comments: Yo Jon, still plowin' ahead with The Fixer. I've noticed the difference between this & your three other novels. The prose was kinda rough around the edges & not as polished & sleek. Ah that's the first novel anyway. It goes with the territory so to speak. That still does not detract from my appreciation of your first novel.

Comments: Yo Jon, just thought I'd tell ya that I've finally found your first Lawson book The Fixer at a used bookstore. Like your other books I've already read, I snapped up yours & now I'm on chapter seven or eight I forget which. Prolly won't make you feel any better cuz your first book's still out of print. Still, keep bugging the publishers just the same anyway. :) I'll send the Save Lawson letter anyway. Just for the hell of it. heh. :}

Comments: All right, Jon, I'll leave it at that. I'm sure we could argue all year. I've got some questions about the Lawson campaign, but I'll save them for another time.

As for you, Ted, the Horrorworld admins don't take kindly to that kind of idiotic, childish posting. What are you, 12? And Jon, man of letters that he is, seems quite capable of speaking up for himself without your foolishness. You wiped the whole page clean, dummy!

And Staci? They don't allow you to call people jerks, either but don't worry about it. I'm sure it all went over your head anyway...Staci? Er Staci? Christ, can someone wipe that drool from her chin?

Comments: Okay Michael, in the interest of keeping everything nice and peaceful, you make some valid points. My choice of words could have been better in the blog. "Toning it down" is a much better choice than what I wrote. Once again, thanks for your thoughts.

Staci & Ted - thanks folks. Not necessary what you did, but I appreciate it anyway. And it's nice to see you discussing my work and what you enjoy about it. Best, Jon

Comments: Staci I can see what your saying about The Invoker. I did like the fact that Jack was in it. I especially liked how Lawson was able to get over his initial reluctance to babysit the kid and eventually ended up liking him alot. Also the scenes in Nepal were really cool. I liked The Syndicate because alot of it takes place in New York which is were I'm from. Peace.

Comments: hee hee nice going ted! I was going to respond to that jerk but I won't out of respect for Jon's board. There doesn't seem to be much use for it anyway since some people will think what they like and only exist to cause trouble. By the way I like The Syndicate too but I still think The Invoker was the best. I guess I like the best because of the little boy in it. He reminded me of my son. I hope their are lots more Lawson Vampire books coming!

Comments: Now that thats done...I just wanted to say what a great writer you are, Jon. I just finished the Syndicate and loved it. I think its the best Lawson book yet. I think one of the reviewers out on Amazon said it best when they said you get better with every book you write. Thanks for doing such a great job!
