In the notes I wrote I can read my writing as Gary, but the last name starts with a Bra...the 'B' may have well been an error on my part. The only writers I oculd find who were 'Gary Bra's were Brandner and Braunbeck, but thanks for clearing that up. I'll look up Raisor. I don't actually drink it myself. My son loves it. England has some great cookies and I'm sure vanilla cookies are amongst them. One thing I love about England is the tea, high or low or inbetween. There coffee taste better to me too, though it takes me a day or two to get used to it. That stuff, you swig it, it makes the skin on you know what roll back. I haven't forgotten Hap and Leonard, and will return to them. Or plan to. But those guys need a rest after CAPTAINS. 318 May 08 2003 at 19:53:20 Fullname: Andy F Email: Comments: Wayne - Believe it or not we do have Dr Pepper here in the UK. Hope for us yet! 319 May 06 2003 at 02:08:15 Fullname: Mark Allan Reynolds Email: mar@darkwonders.com Comments: Oh yeah, for Joe fans out there: go find any of Gary Raisor's stories. They rock! Also, his ultra cool vampire tale Less than Human is worth hunting up at the used bookstores. I met Gary a few times at writing workshops and a couple of booksignings my old workplace held for him and he's a very funny, talented guy who needs to write more! I also want to throw kudos to another guy who is a little talented with his horror writing: me! My first story collection, DARK WONDERS, is available now for order at most bookstores, including Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, & BooksaMillion. Check it out and make me some money! :) Mark 320 May 06 2003 at 02:02:46 Fullname: Mark Allan Reynolds Email: mar@darkwonders.com Comments: Joe - Don't you dare go getting all snobby on us Hap & Leonard fans just because your last couple of books have done just fine at the bookstores. SAWDUST & SAWMILLS - jeez I can't wait for that one *groan*. Give your fans what they want! Hap & Leonard!!! You still with me? Seriously, congrats on the recent success of THE BOTTOMS and A FINE DARK LINE and I hope that the future grows even brighter for you. You, sir, are one of the true rare talents writing fiction today and you haven't let this reader down for a long, long time (Tarzan??) Just two quick requests: (1) - A sequel to TEXAS NIGHT RIDERS and (2) the next HAP & LEONARD damn you!!! I found most of them, but one I couldn't read. I'm not sure if it's Gary Brandner or Gary Braunbeck. Do you recall recommending either one? It was some time ago, and I do realize you're busy with so many things to recall slight details, but any help would be appreciated. So far, Thomas F. Monteleone, Edo van Belkom, and David B. Silva have contributed short stories, and Craig Spector will soon contribute a chapter from his novel To Bury the Dead. Would you like to donate a short story? I'm nineteen and a huge fan of yours. If you're interested, please contact me.
