Comments: Hi Joe:

If you have a moment could you
e-mail me? Rich Chizmar and I have something we'd like to discuss (nothing huge, just reprint rights) and neither of us can seem to locate your e-mail address.

Cheers,

John Pelan

Comments: Mr.Mojo:
I am sitting in class while my high school remedial reading students are completing their exams. We use books, comics, trashy magazines, you name it in here. So I am glad I stumbled 0nto your sight (well, I did type in your name becuase I was bored)
I remember The Drive In, though I'd not thought of it in ages and get it confused with somebobody's (?)Pilgrims To The Cathedral, but I'll get the comic for my class. (We have the Hap & Leonards on the free reading shelf.) But my favorite was called something like On a Centerfold Found in a Harlequinn Romance. Thanks for the laughs. :)

Comments: Joe,
If you haven't seen The Last Samurai, yet, prepare yourself for a powerful movie about honor and courage, and what it means to be a true warrior who follows the code of Bushido. This film captures the very essence of the soul of the Samurai, or the martial artist, and it's one that will leave you in tears at the end. Though I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, I now see him in a new, more different way for what he was able to do with this film. The Last Samurai is definitely a movie you will want to see a second and third time. By the way, Bubba Hotep is now back in Las Vegas, having made a complete circle from its premiere a year-and-a-half ago at the Palms Hotel. I hope to see it in the next week or so.

Comments: Thanks for the clarification, Joe. I hope her instructions on how to *get* one of these premium copies was correct...guess I'll find out soon enough.

Comments: Although these sheets will be tipped in, maybe there will be blank sheets in the standard issue, so it won't appear to be tipped in, but signed. Either way, it'll be out there. Joe

Comments: Well, they told you wrong. I'm siging the sheets now--well, not this minute. But I signed all day yesterday and will today. They are, in fact, tip-in sheets. Joe

Comments: Hi, Joe: Here's the scoop I got from your publisher...it's a bit different than you describe (w/ no seperate/special tip-in page), but either way, I'm really looking forward to this book.

"What we are in fact doing is having Joe sign 500 first editions. It's the same price, $22.00."

Comments: Thanks, Joe -- I don't see the S/L version listed on their site, but have an email query into them r.e. cost and availability. Appreciate the info -- and can't wait to read the new book (in whichever form I happen to end up with).

Comments: Ron:There will be a signed limited, but it is being done by Knopf itself. Seven hundred copies. Only difference is a tip in page. But Knopf tip ins are very rare. Joe

Comments: Hi, Joe: I understand Sub Press isn't doing a signed/limited HC of your new upcoming novel, SAWDUST & SUNSETS (sorry if I've managled the title). Any particular reason why -- and is any other publisher picking up the ball and publishing a signed/limited of this novel?

Comments: Hey Joe--Finally saw BUBBA at the Avalon Theater in Corvallis, OR. Good stuff. Bruce nearly coaxed a tear out of these eyes. So if there are any Joe-fans in the Willamete Valley now's your chance to see BUBBA without having to drive to Portland.

Comments: Jeff: HORROR WINNERS edits itself. The stories are already picked. They're the winners. So, I really didn't contriubte much. This is a case where I wrote a few intros and was editor in name. Joe
