Comments: Oakland Cemetery has the statues and elaborate tombs, but also a section with rows of un-marked Confederate soldiers' graves, which I am sure would pique your interest for Southern American history and... ghosts. Here's the website, for what it's worth. I can guarantee you the cemetery is a lot creepier than the squeaky-clean pictures that are posted. http://www.oaklandcemetery.com/

Comments: Thanks !! I hope I can get your releases this year. So far, amazon only has COMMUNITY listed and thats it. Nothing scheduled for MAY at all. I think you mentioned a short story collection? Anyway, I wish I could get the ones you have coming out, the Hard Back ones at least. I may have to contact Amazon by phone here. What is due out this year officially ? i think you have mentioned them, but Amazon US has COMMUNITY in Sept, and basically nothing else other than audio books that I still want, but Hard Backs I definitely want.
Thanks !!!

Comments: That's a great invitation, Michael, thank you...I might very well take you up on that! And thanks for your comments on cemeteries, Campbell! What always interests me is how different cemeteries are in different cities. Sometimes they have statues of angels and elaborate tombs, especially some of those I have visited in Belgium and France. The most moving and perhaps the grimmest was the cemetery in the Kampinos Forest in Poland where hundreds of identical crosses are lined up in a clearing, marking the graves of all of the Polish intellectuals, politicians, journalists, artists and others who were massacred by the Nazis in order that they would not make things difficult for the occupying German government. You can read all about it in my upcoming novel FOREST GHOST.

Comments: Cemetries have some character. I lived in Melbourne Australia for a little over 20 years, and the Cemetary in Ghost Rider 2 was featured in the film. Locally, the Cemtary there was/is known as the "Dead Centre" of town, which is an old joke dating back to I don't know when ( much like Benny Hill Jokes being recycled from the 50s to the 70s or so :-) ; But, I never saw Cemetaries with the same sort of Eerie character as the ones in Tasmania, my home state ( even the old salt mines dating back 150 years or so had a mood that was spooky in the extreme ). May 25 is kind of interesting since the 26th is my Birthday, probably some overlap with the Time difference. I have to shop around for some Books (Masterton of Course ), and I hope I can get some cool ones.
Best regards

Comments: Hi Graham, would love to read one of your stories set in Atlanta. I've lived here all my life. If and when you do visit, please let me know. I'd be more than happy to drive you around and "show you the sites". There's a cool cemetery ("Oakland Cemetery") that I am sure you would find interesting.

Comments: Thanks, Michael! That's really appreciated! And by the way I really love Atlanta and may soon be setting a creepy story there, too! FIRE SPIRIT didn't quite get the publication I wanted because my publishers went bust, but it will rise again!!

Comments: Hi Graham, I just finished "Fire Spirit" and have to say that, wow, that was a tough read for a while there. I couldn't quite figure out why all the brutality until the Creepy Kid says that's the point - the victims have to be innocent. I must say I delighted in recounting to my wife the more juicy details. She was a bit more freaked out, particularly with the stable scene. At any rate, I found myself 10 pages from finish and having absolutely no idea how Graham was going to tie this one together (was it going to be like "Tengu"?), but damned if he did. I'm onward to "The Painted Man" (you may recall I purchased a stack of your more recent books and commented at how they all seemed to hover around the 214 page mark). Wish me luck! PS: while I'm at it, I'll sing the praises of "Basilisk". This one just may qualify as an "instant classic". Keep writing and we'll keep reading!

Comments: Well, I don't know what is the best way to wish best luck, other than best wishes, and I plan to buy all the books and Audio I can buy, and If I can support a film you authored in the process, then I will be in the queue. I have only one Horror Author that I collect Books of, and I collect Books by musicians that I am a fan of, and music as well as movies; so, I can't see if I have the copy of Charnel House with the Coyote on the Cover, and that was the first book, but I will plan to buy what I can in second hand. I Studied Sanskrit and History of religion at Uni, and the Bhuta's and Preta's are pretty scarey creatures in Sanskrit Mythology. But suffice to say, CHARNEL HOUSE kept me up with the lights on after a read, and gave me a life time of enjoyment, and I thank you for that, so the best I can do, is support what you do, like the other artists I enjoy in music and film.
May the Gods, Devils, Demons, etc., whatever faithful creative forces make you give to us keep you doing what you love, so thanks; and for those interested, the film in a few months some may like that looks like a Masterton Book is CONJURING, coming in June. May all have a spooky , fun and great time.
Thanks Graham !!!

Comments: My agent is still working hard at bringing my work to the screen, Christophe! There is a deal under negotiation at the moment but I am not sure how that is shaping up. Obviously I will let you know as soon as I get any positive news.
