This has been an interesting year. I had my first ever surgery which was a major ordeal and the fall out from it is still affecting my life. I have more med. debt than you could believe, a baby on the way, a car in the shop, a day job that doesn't pay enough anymore, and now I have a tooth that has to not pulled but CUT out in less than ten days. My life has become a lot of things I never intended. Anyway, what does this mean to you who read and enjoy my work. Well, the days of seeing me publish like 75 to 80 things a year are GONE. I doubt they will be back anytime soon. This year has seen the publication of Madmen's Dreams and I have two other paperbacks (Waking Nightmares and my first novel Cobble) due before the year end. I have a novella and an eighth chap I am shopping around as well as two never published shorts BUT that's it people. I am NOT saying I am quitting writing. I have tried and tried to and just can't but the honest and simple truth is that I have to focus on my family now. HAVE TO. They need me. I don't have to think of writing as a career anymore. It will always be a hobby for me though. So in this year which will be the first one ever where I have had three paperbacks released in one year, I must say don't expect it again. I hope very much to find the time to crank out a short once in a while but with two jobs in my future and the baby, I will be lucky even if I manage that. It's been trip and I am proud of what I have done. Selling six paperbacks in less than two and a half years with 5 chapbooks of the seven in my career sold in that time too, I think I have done a lot. I hope that my child will one day see it that way too and know that his/her father really gave it a shot at chasing his dreams and NOT hate me for doing so when I could have gotten a real job instead.
