Looked at the bibliography, impressive, impressive! Coming up this way sometime before NEcon? Want to do a signing? Hmmmm? Judith 20 Sat March 27 2004 - 14:26:56 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: Just an update if anyone's interested. SCARAB, a science fiction novel about a serial killer, will be out in April. Available thru Amazon. The publisher has expressed interest in a possible sequel. The reference book is up to 225,000 words. Should be done in another month. No pub date available yet for HAVEN or MURDER IN SILVERPLATE. 21 Wed February 11 2004 - 03:32:23 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: Actually, it's not a sequel; it's just another Mythos novel set in the same imaginary town. I have a vampire novel and a murder mystery at Berkley/Ace, but as usual they've had both for over a year and don't respond to query letters. Very few publishers do any more. Currently working on the SF reference book I sold to Facts on File. Approaching 140,000 words. 22 Tue January 27 2004 - 04:41:19 Fullname: Eric Email: Comments: I suggest sending the sequel to Ginjer Buchanan at Ace/Berkley. They've had some success with monster themed horror recently (SLEEPER and FIRE & FLESH). But don't stress that it's a sequel. 23 Thu January 22 2004 - 23:50:56 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: Haven't been around for a while, but I've been very busy. Sold a very large science fiction reference book to Facts on File, plus a mystery novel titled Murder in Silverplate and a science fiction novel titled Haven, both of the latter to Five Star Books. Also sold a short story to Analog. It doesn't look I'll be doing anything new with Leisure for the forseeable future. The "sort of" sequel to Servants of Chaos is currently looking for a home. 24 Thu October 30 2003 - 17:19:18 Fullname: Eric Email: Comments: What's not to love, Paddy? So, Don, when is your next Leisure book coming out? 25 Wed October 29 2003 - 00:02:10 Fullname: paddy Email: paddyomurphy2002@yahoo.co.uk Comments: Hello I am new here and love the don 26 Mon October 27 2003 - 01:46:04 Fullname: Nanci Email: Comments: Hi Don - I have to comment on your wildlife post....squirrels can be very destructive! Our problem was with woodchucks who decided to live under our shed. They descimated the garden! How did we get rid of them? Easy, used cat litter. We tried traps, filling in the holes, coyote urine and nothing worked. Finally, we poured three litter boxes full of used cat litter under the shed -- haven't seen those buggers since! 27 Sun September 07 2003 - 23:39:50 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: He wanders into the empty auditorium, looks around, sighs, and scrawls on the wall: "Sold another short to Analog this week. Completed reading the galleys for SCARAB, forthcoming from Five Star books." Then he wanders out. 28 Fri July 25 2003 - 15:19:40 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: Not much going on. Sold a short story to Asylum: The Quiet Ward. Sent a couple new stories out. Finished a fantasy novel and submitted it. Finishing up a murder mystery at the moment. Really liked PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. 29 Thu July 10 2003 - 05:23:28 Fullname: Thieves have your E-mail Addresses Email: Comments: Hi, here's the scoop on the hrh stanlo post below: whenever you see a post containing words such as "mugu" or "guymen" or "ndi-igbo" or "lome togo" or "nachi-uwa" and "keep off" or a letter repeated such as "just goooooooooooooooo..." that means a Nigerian 419 Advance Fee scammer has been here to harvest e-mail addresses and is asking all other scammers not to harvest addresses from this guest book so as not to spoil his "business" (as they call their activities of cheating people out of various "fees" needed to release the vast sums of imaginary money that they offer their gullible and greedy victims.) They may leave a comment such as "good site" for show but the real message is in the words quoted above. Good idea not to leave e-mail addresses on guest books. 30 Thu July 03 2003 - 01:10:22 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: DAMMASSA@IX.NETCOM.COM Comments: Some good news here. Sold a science fiction novel, SCARAB, to Five Star books, and a short horror story, "Dealing with Stress" to the Asylum horror anthology series. Breaks up a long dry spell. 1 2 3 4 5
