Braunbeck Email: gary@garybraunbeck.com Comments: Don, I wanted to thank you for the fine -- and no-bullshit -- review of MR. HANDS you recently posted. I appreciated your honesty and the direct manner in which you articulated your problems with the narrative. I was, in the end, relieved to find it was an overall positive review. You're a tough critic to please, and I like that right down to the ground. --Gary 5 Fri December 15 2006 - 20:07:01 Fullname: Bruce Ouellette Email: bruce.ouellette@hotmail.com Comments: Canadian artist/illustrator Rob Sacchetto has created a website where you can send him a picture of youreslf or a loved one and he will hand illustrate and paint an 8x10" zombie likeness and send it to you. Murder in Silverplate is out. Haven due out any day now. 11 Sat September 25 2004 - 01:02:47 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: Galleys for Haven arrived today. Encyclopedia is done up to Shirley Jackson. 12 Sat September 18 2004 - 12:51:41 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: The Encyclopedia of horror is about 40% written. I'm up to Robin Hobb. The as yet untitled Victorian vampire novel is about 70% complete. Galleys for Murder in Silverplate arrived recently. The book should be out in November. Haven, which is SF, is still scheduled for December but haven't seen galleys yet. 13 Sun August 29 2004 - 19:42:47 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: Ignore those interlopers! Publication dates at last. Haven, a science fiction novel, will appear in November. Murder in Silverplate, a mystery, will appear in December. The Encyclopedia of SF will be out in May 2005, and The Encyclopedia of Fantasy and Horror will be out in early 2006. I should also have a short story in the second issue of Allen K's Inhuman magazine. Just finished and sent off Narcissus, sequel to Scarab. A third in the series, Scrimshaw, is in the planning stages. Currently working on a Victorian vampire novel. 14 Thu July 22 2004 - 21:59:18 Fullname: Don D'Ammassa Email: Comments: My core list of SF Classics? That probably depends on the day you ask me. And depends on how big a list you're thinking of. I use to have a top ten list, but there are so many candidates now, I couldn't even begin to do one - although More Than Human by Theodore Sturgeon would certainly be on it. For those interested, SCARAB is now available from Amazon. It's a SF/mystery hybrid about a serial killer on a world with a rigid meritocracy. Just finished writing the sequel, NARCISSUS, which is a sort of locked starship murder mystery. My first mystery novel, MURDER IN SILVERPLATE, is due out in November, and another SF novel, HAVEN, will be published in December, set in the same universe as SCARAB but otherwise unrelated. Don't have a publication date yet on THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SF, but just signed the contracts for the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FANTASY & HORROR, which I hope to finish around the end of the year. Also working on an historical vampire novel, title to be determined. 15 Tue July 20 2004 - 11:56:22 Fullname: Richard Gombert Email: rgombert@yahoo.com Comments: Mr. D'Ammassa, I have been reading reviews by you for years. I'm wondering what your core list of SciFi Classic novels is? Thanks Rich 1 2 3 4 5
