Comments: Fans...sorry I've been away so long. Ok....Plastic....Amazon are at fault here....it will be out in October. Have been busy writing the prologue and epilogue to the new Serpents Tale anthology ....busy....BUT will have a new anthology appearance THSAT WILL NOT be in the Serpents tail book.........but you'll have to ask Spanky, It reads, called GRAND GUIGNOL. As the title suggests, it is a gathering of stories in the tradition of the infamous Theater du Grand Guignol of Paris.

Aboard the project thus far are such luminaries ( some of whom I have no doubt are acquaintances of yours) as: Peter Crowther, Chet Williamson, Steve Rasnic Tem, Al Sarrantonio, Mark Morris, Chaz Brenchley, Nicholas Royle, Edo Van Belkom, Brian Lumley, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Tim Lebbon, Brian Hodge, David B. Silva, Thomas F. Monteleone, Jay Russell and Christopher Fowler.

Laters people.

Please tell me Amazon has screwed up, or I will have to sob uncontrollably into my soup!

Comments: Amazon.co.uk list Plastic as coming out May 1st 2003 and Full Dark House afterwards, in August. But the cover for FDH is up and the one for Plastic isn't. And your site and your posts say Plastic comes out second. So have Amazon got it wrong...?

Comments: Oh, and whilst I'm here.. worth popping over to the CF website (link at top of message board) quite a few updates on things - though, considering the current press speculation and intrustion with Jude Law and Sadie Frost, I'd say that Psychoville is looking unlikely at the moment!!

Comments: I'll send this to you by email, but just in case you don't pop back in (or someone else is interested..)

Menz currently on ebay at only £1 - 3 days to go.

I got my copy ages ago from a Comic shop in London - cannot for the life of me remember what it was called, but it was somewhere near Tottenham Court Road..

Best of luck with that..

Comments: Hi Christopher! I've been a massive fan of your work since "Roofworld," and I'm sorry to hear you've decided to kill off one of Bryant & May. Just one question on this: does this mean we'll find out the story behind the name of their favourite pub, "The Nun & Broken Compass"? Can't wait for the new books - wish they were out sooner! Keep up the excellent work. Pete.

Comments: Glad to see my small but dedicated band of fellow freaks are hanging in here! Full Dark House comes out August 03 from Transworld, Plastic soon after, immediately followed by a new volume of short stories. Guillermo Del Toro promises me he's finally going to make Spanky after he's finished Hellboy. Jude Law is casting Psychoville, and I've just delivered an original screenplay called Breathcatcher to Samuelson Productions, so (fingers crossed) some damn thing will get made!

Comments: With names such as Jude Law involved, I would think they would be intented for the cinema.. as to living up to the books - I doubt it, but if they're done properly, they could well bring in many new readers for Mr Folwer, which can only be a good thing.

Btw, when I said if you're looking for rare CF books, check amazon, what I menat to say was Ebay - that's where I found my slipcased Lost Souls..

Comments: I am so happy to see the return of Bryant and May, and reading the chritopherfowler.co.uk website, I cant wait for the delivery of the other books in the series.

I have been a great fan for some years now, although I have never found the short stories as satisfying as the full novels, but that is just my preference. So I wait with anticipation for May 2003.

I do not recall seeing anything about the films, are they for TV or cinema? I would be interested to see them, but can they really live up to the book!

Comments: hmmm - interesting... no sign of the new Bryant and May (Full Dark House) (booo) - but Amazon is showing this...

Plastic
Paperback - 352 pages (1 May, 2003)
Time Warner Paperbacks; ISBN: 075153210X

Synopsis
After twelve years in an unhappy marriage, June discovers that her husband has been cheating on her with the next-door neighbour. He admits everything. Then he chops up all her credit cards and kicks her out of the house. In desperation she agrees to flat-sit for a friend of a friend in a luxury riverside apartment in central London.

Which is the first of a Trilogy according to www.christopherfowler.co.uk

Also, for those of you looking for the collectibles, Amazon is worth checking every now and then - things don't appear too often, but got my self one of the 250 signed and slipcased 'Bureau of Lost Souls' on there for not too hefty a price.. it's very nice!!
