Was leading drummer in the first pipe band, which was replaced by a bugle band when the pipe band members all 'retired' about the same time. Band members were David Williamson, Archie Bilsland, Ewan Nicol, Gordon Smith, Sandy Muir, Derek Walton and one other 'red headed' piper whose name has escaped me! The Captain was Jim Cubie, ably assisted by Watson McKinnon, and Mr Hogg, Mr Fielding and Mr Fletcher were Staff Sergeants.
